Junior Age Group Cricket Information

What: Junior cricket adopting the Cricket Australia junior pathway

Who: Mixed, Boys & Girls Teams

When: Summer Season mid October to end March (16 games, Xmas break)

Where: Our home grounds are Allen Park, Swanbourne Reserve, Swanbourne Primary School, Harvey Field (Cott) and new this year, City Beach Primary.  We play against locals clubs and don't travel far (North Freo to Scarborough corridor).

Please Note – AGE GROUP CUT OFF – New from Season 2022/23

Your child will play in the age group based on their current school year at the start of the season (ie school year in October).

Why:

  • Perfect for girls & boys aged 8+ years (year 3s play in the year 4 comp)
  • For kids with basic cricket skills
  • Play real games of cricket (softa ball in Stage 1 for Y3/4/5 with pads and helmets supplied)
  • We offer professional coaching support for parent coaches and helpers
  • Team kit equipment provided – just bring your cricket whites (available for purchase from the club and at registration)
  • Fun and active, outdoors in the fresh air
  • There are less players on the field = more action for players
  • Shorter pitch lengths & boundaries = more action and supports improved skill development
  • Shorter game time = games last 2 hours and are played on Saturday or Sunday mornings
  • More fun with their friends!
